What you must do:
If you are not registered to vote or have family, friends, or associates who are not registered, ACT NOW – find out the registration procedures in your jurisdiction and get registered or help others register.
Some jurisdictions, like the District of Columbia, allow people to register on election day.
BUT, DON'T WAIT -- REGISTER NOW!!

If the Board of Election Commissioners (or whatever the relevant agency) in your state has not already sent out notices about the ballot process, contact them NOW to get the information.
Or, go to VOTE.org to get information about your jurisdiction’s ballot process.
A number of jurisdictions have sent that information, including Washington, DC and Maryland. Request your ballot by September 22 or as soon as possible.
Nine states and the District of Columbia automatically mail ballots to all registered voters.
If you are voting by absentee ballot:
COMPLETE IT AS SOON AS IT IS YOU RECEIVE IT, AND MAIL IT IN RIGHT AWAY!
And by 10/13, if possible.
Or drop it in a ballot drop box.

DUE TO COVID-19, changes have been made to the electoral process throughout the United States that may be confusing, especially to people who have voted over the years using pre-COVID -19 procedures. You want to be in the know so you can cast your vote with as much ease and in as timely a manner as possible.
VOTER SUPPRESSION IS REAL – we have documented evidence of it in the last presidential election. Knowing the rules to cast your vote during this pandemic, as early as possible, helps in the fight against voter suppression – helping to ensure that YOUR VOTE WILL COUNT!
YOUR VOICE COUNTS! AS WE CONTINUE OUR CENTURIES’ OLD BATTLE TO END RACISM! The ballot has been one tool to get us this far. It can help us go further, GETTING US CLOSER AND CLOSER TO ENDING STRUCTURAL RACISM.
