The National Conference of Black Lawyers (NCBL), in partnership with the National Institute for the Advancement of African American Health (NIAAH), is proud to host an important virtual CLE program exploring the intersection of law and health equity.
African Americans continue to face deep disparities in the U.S. healthcare system, driven by structural racism, underinvestment, and systemic bias. This webinar will examine how legal professionals can play a vital role in advancing health equity through advocacy, litigation, policy reform, and collaboration with medical and community leaders.
Topics include:
Legal and policy levers that shape health equity, including statutes, regulations, and litigation strategies.
Case studies where legal interventions advanced public health and equity — and lessons for today.
Practical strategies for cross-sector collaboration to reduce disparities and drive systemic reform.
Who should attend?
This program is open to attorneys, legal workers, students, community advocates, and all who are committed to health equity and racial justice.
Attorneys will earn 1 hour of CLE credit for participating in this program.
Join us for this critical conversation on how the law can be leveraged as a tool to build healthier, more equitable communities.
